Role of Biology in Agriculture



Biology is the study of life sciences physical aspects of life. Biological sciences was supported by branches that specialize in each group of organisms, such as the botanical study of plants, zoology of animal science, microbiology and the study of microorganisms.

Biological science is itself a science that is very beneficial to human survival. One of the beneficial role of human biology, which particularly in the field of agriculture.

One branch of biology called Biotechnology, which is the study of biological processes using an integrated application that includes the biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering for the improvement of food and aim for the welfare of human life in terms of food sector.

In Biotechnology himself there again some derivatives branches of science, especially its derivatives science biotechnology applied to agriculture called green biotechnology.

Especially for green biotechnology science is also a biological science, has some benefits or a very important role in agriculture. The role of science to agriculture, which are as follows:

     Instrumental in producing pest-resistant crops

     Instrumental in the discovery of quality seeds to increase agricultural production
     Role in finding ways to eradicate agricultural pests biologically
